Sasha Barrat, known professionally as shamellow, is a Québec-based music producer and sound designer renowned for crafting immersive, genre-blending soundscapes. His work seamlessly fuses elements of lo-fi, ambient, electronic, classical and hip-hop, creating a unique auditory experience that resonates with listeners.
Shamellow’s compositions often serve as the backbone for multidisciplinary collaborations, particularly within the dance and performance art communities. Notably, he has collaborated with choreographer Melmaze, providing the sonic foundation for performances that intertwine movement and music.
His music is available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music, where he continues to expand his audience and explore new sonic territories.
Beyond his solo projects, shamellow is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of sound design, contributing to various multimedia projects that emphasize the interplay between audio and visual elements, with a heavy focus on carrying and driving movement and dance through and with the music.

shamellow (Sasha Barrat) est un producteur et concepteur sonore basé à Québec, spécialisé en musique originale, trames sonores et remix pour la danse et les arts vivants. Depuis 2022, il collabore avec Melmaze et la Maison pour la danse de Québec, notamment sur Zone Bazar (2024, 2025 et 2026) ainsi que sur Kyrielle (programme de création menant à une œuvre de 40 à 60 minutes, 2025–2026). Il signe aussi des musiques de scène pour SaraoCarré (2022–2024), A-MA-ZONE (2023), Bordélique (2024 - mais concepteur de 2023 à aujourd'hui) et le Programme Melmaze (2024–2025). Il assure le mixage / remix / mastering et les ajustements sonores en salle pour L’École de danse de Québec depuis 2022, ainsi que de multiples projets pour danseurs et danseuses de compétition depuis 2023. Artiste solo, il publie sa musique sur les plateformes (première sortie en 2022) et a lancé un album complet en 2025.

shamellow (Sasha Barrat) is a Québec-based producer and sound designer focused on original music and full soundtracks for dance and live performance. Since 2022, he has collaborated with Melmaze and the Maison pour la danse de Québec, including Zone Bazar (2024–2026) and Kyrielle (a creation program culminating in a 40–60 minute work, 2025–2026). He has also arranged stage works for SaraoCarré (2022–2024), composed for A-MA-ZONE (2023), Bordélique (2024), and the Melmaze Program (2024–2025). He provides mixing / remixing / mastering and in-theatre sound adjustments for L’École de danse de Québec since 2022, plus production work for competitive dancers since 2023. As a solo artist, he releases music on all major platforms (first release in 2022) and dropped a full album in 2025.
